In corroboration with the Arab Club at the United Nations, the meeting took place on December 5th and asked for assistance for Egypt's struggling lower class

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / February 12, 2016 / After the end of World War 2, the United Nations was sanctioned with the solitary commitment to unite the world rather than divide it.

Egypt has been a proud member of the United Nations since its inception, but is currently suffering one of the most despicable outbreaks of famine and poverty ever seen. This is especially prevalent in rural areas where families live below the lowest form of poverty.

The humanitarian gathering, which took place at the United Nations on December 5th, 2015, started with a heartfelt speech from Dr. Tarek Alshafie.

Dr.Alshafie pointed out that Egypt has given so much to the world while asking for nothing back. In addition to the pyramids, the sphinx, the pharaohs, and a culture diverse with tradition and flavor, they also contributed an unforeseen grasp of technology well beyond their time.

Dr. Alshafie also spoke of his plans to build a hospital in Egypt that will rival hospitals in the United States; providing the absolute best medical care possible.

Dr. Alshafie's speech was followed by a short television brief outlining the issues faced by Egypt's lower class, then backed up by a speech by Mr. Mohamed Sobhy, famous actor and head of (Ma'an) the nonpolitical, nongovernmental organization.

Finally, the meeting was headlined by artistic impressions of Egypt's culture with different songs by different artists, including Arab singer Ghada Ragab and her esteemed concert.

"This event shed some light on a major problem in Egypt and many places in the world" said a spokesperson from the event. "The aim of this event was to support the efforts of a nongovernmental organization in the United States and Egypt to help the Egyptian, and the government of Egypt in their relentless effort to overcome the major problem of people living in rural areas."
