Waterloo, ON / ACCESSWIRE / January 29, 2015 / A Student at the University of Waterloo Has Won Canada's Luckiest Student and Over $60,000 in Prizes. But They Don't Know It. Yet.
Who is Canada's Luckiest Student?
Here are the facts. The winner of Canada's Luckiest Student 3 is a student at the University of Waterloo. They don't know they've won. We're going to announce the winner surrounded by hundreds of fellow Student Life Network students (SLNers) at the University of Waterloo.
Date: Saturday, January 31st, 2015
Time: 2pm - 4pm
Location: The Bombshelter Pub, 200 University Avenue W, Waterloo, Ontario
That student, soon to be crowned Canada's Luckiest Student, has won over $60,000 in prizing. And no, this isn't one of those "You've Won a Free Cruise" things. This student has been participating in this Canada-wide contest since August with students from virtually every Canadian college and university participating. Among the prizes are a $20,000 GIC from CIBC, a trip for two to Peru, free groceries for a year, free tuition for a year, a $4,000 clothing shopping spree, $5,000 in concerts and much more.
It's kind of a big deal, as they say.

SLN is all about creating awesome experiences for students. It's what we do for each of our contests and exclusive opportunities for Canadian students. We have invited the top participating students from the University of Waterloo to attend an exclusive event this Saturday. Students have been told there will be free food, giveaways and the possibility that they will be named Canada's Luckiest Student.
The winner of CLS3 has RSVP'd to attend the event, and we've invited their family to join as well. 30+ of his/her family & friends will be boarding a chartered bus from their hometown to be a part of the celebrations that afternoon, and will join the event once their loved one is revealed as Canada's Luckiest Student.
But, of course, they don't know they've won.
We have numerous camera teams filming this event, both from the family's perspective and from our winner's perspective. The winner's parents will ultimately be the ones who reveal their son/daughter has won. Be sure to bring your tissues.
What Students are Saying about the CLS3 Reveal
"If I'm the general consensus for the mood around UW, then it's tense, anxious, excited, and flabbergasted all at the same time. I can't believe that the winner might be someone who I share a lecture hall with! Heck, it might even be me, which is the craziest part!"
--Melissa Lopes, University of Waterloo student
"Walking around campus I have overheard conversations about how people are excited that they are in the running. Kind of like a hushed excitement!" --Jared Murphy, University of Waterloo student
"I am spreading the excitement around. Hoping against hope I won something!!" --Brenna Gray, University of Waterloo student
You're Invited: Media Participation
Media are invited to attend the big reveal. Media are permitted to interview students, SLN staff and eventually the winner about Canada's Luckiest Student 3, Student Life Network, etc. Filming and photos will also be permitted.
