American Dental Partners to Transition All Practices to Apteryx XVWeb Cloud Imaging Technology

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / September 18, 2017 / LED Medical Diagnostics Inc. ("LED" or the "Company") (TSX-V: LMD) is pleased to announce that American Dental Partners (ADPI) has selected the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Apteryx, Inc., as their provider for cloud dental imaging software technologies. American Dental Partners will transition their entire network--nearly 300 US-based dental and specialty practices--to Apteryx's XVWeb cloud imaging technology within the next 12 months.

Founded in 1995, ADPI enables affiliated practitioners to focus on exceptional patient care while receiving the business services required to build vibrant, profitable practices that serve their local communities. American Dental Partners continues to evolve with the dental industry, integrating the workflow, patient care, and financial benefits that come with investments in next-generation imaging technologies.

"Apteryx's XVWeb cloud imaging software will bring about a fundamental shift in our business," stated Todd Seward, Chief Information Officer of ADPI. "The move from traditional server-based imaging software will profoundly reduce our IT hardware expenses, which has always been a key consideration when assessing our needs. With XVWeb, ADPI is getting state-of-the-art imaging software capabilities that will also drastically improve the workflow for our practices, enabling patient images to be centrally stored and accessible in real-time from any of our providers."

Apteryx, Inc., a leading developer of dental imaging software technologies, places an emphasis on open-architecture infrastructures that seamlessly integrate with imaging hardware and practice management software. This focus on ease of integration has been critical in many of Apteryx's key client relationships, including exclusive dental imaging software partnerships with the United States Army and Navy.

XVWeb, a software as a service (SaaS) solution, is the latest evolution in imaging software technologies from Apteryx. XVWeb moves dental imaging software functionality to the cloud and makes patient imaging data accessible 24/7 via any web-connected device, in addition to providing immediate off-site backup of acquired image data for enhanced HIPAA-compliant security. Both 2D radiographs and 3D data sets can be stored and visualized via XVWeb on any web-enabled device.

"LED and Apteryx provide an exceptional value proposition for group practices and dental support organizations (DSOs) and we are honored to found a new partnership with American Dental Partners, one of the premier DSOs in the country," remarked Lamar Roberts, President of LED and Apteryx. "XVWeb's exceptional image viewing, analysis, and enhancement tools provide significant budget savings when compared to traditional server-based imaging. XVWeb is unique in its interoperability with the vast majority of digital sensors and imaging systems on the market, allowing practices to continue utilizing their existing imaging hardware investment without the need to purchase new equipment. This is a significant advantage when considering the vast number of practices involved in these DSO groups."
