In these studies, specifically engineered mice which have developed tumors following injection with patient derived cancer cells are treated with Adva-27a to assess the ability of the drug to shrink the tumors. Among the different types of patient derived cancer types being studied are Pancreatic Cancer, Breast Cancer, Small-Cell Lung Cancer and Uterine Sarcoma.

Adva-27a is Sunshine Biopharma's proprietary anticancer compound. In vitro tests conducted on Adva-27a have demonstrated the drug's effectiveness at destroying Multidrug Resistant Cancer Cells including Pancreatic Cancer cells, Small-Cell Lung Cancer cells, Breast Cancer cells, and Uterine Sarcoma cells. Clinical trials for Pancreatic Cancer indication are planned to be conducted at McGill University's Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Canada.
