When Bryce Monkivitch was 25, he set out on his entrepreneurial journey unknowingly of its challenges. He spent his first year working over in China at his uncle's factory. When returning home, he enrolled in accounting classes at TAFE Queensland. Six months into studying, however, he gave in to the temptation to start a business selling dog hats online through Facebook and Instagram. At just 29 years old, he founded one of the fastest growing online fashion brands, Sincere Sally, in 2018. Debuting his first women's fashion brand in 2017 offering top quality seasonal outerwear.

Monkivitch explains that the first step is to recognize the challenges. "No one likes to admit their weaknesses and flaws, but in order to improve, we have to." Every successful entrepreneur I know and have spoken with ultimately recognized the importance of these necessary but difficult tasks and that, in many cases, they were things they had been avoiding or procrastinating about - to the detriment of their business.

That business, Sincere Sally Pty Ltd (Instagram: @sinceresallyboutique), now brings in the equivalent of more than USD $1 million annually. Monkivitch, 30, runs it with his sister, Joy. They sell their apparel worldwide. Sincere Sally has just celebrated its 3rd successful year of being one of the leading fashion brands of the online world. The internationally known brand is known for its chic, trending, women's clothing, swimwear and accessories. Following the routes of famously known brands ‘Supreme', ‘Nike', ‘Princess Polly' and ‘Nasty Girl', Sincere Sally has reached the pinnacle of urban streetwear creating a fashion hype worldwide.

Monkivitch is part of a trend that keeps on growing and is becoming increasingly global-the growth of million-dollar, one- and two-person businesses and partnerships.

Entrepreneurship happens internally - with the process of stepping up, having courage, and doing things that you never thought you'd be able to do. By flexing your behavior and learning to act outside your comfort zone, you'll be well on your way toward achieving your goals.

Monkivitch's top eccom tips include:

  1. Embrace mobile apps.
  2. Build strong relationships with suppliers.
  3. Learn to love online marketing.
  4. Network. "Its not what you know, its who you know," Monkivitch preaches.
  5. Hire microworkers.
  6. Team up.

Monkivitch's passion for business is inspiring to young entrepreneurs worldwide. "I'm excited to see what the future brings, the grind never ends," he quotes.
