An award-winning author says entrepreneurs can rebuild credibility by writing a book
NEVADA, IA / ACCESSWIRE / June 28, 2021 / More than 100,000 businesses permanently shut their doors due to the pandemic. Surprisingly, an industry that saw an uptick; book sales.
Statistica.com reports 4.89 million nonfiction books sold in the U.S. during COVID-19, a number that coincided with the well-documented reading boom. Award-winning author, Jackie Hayley, says she is not surprised. "People are always looking for an authority in a specific subject, whether it's about computer coding or how to plant a vegetable garden."
Haley, a revered writing and publishing expert, gives her clients a roadmap to turn their ideas and expertise into printed word, subsequently giving them a tool to become an authority in their subject. "The road to becoming a published author can be intimidating. I've been down the path multiple times, and I know how to avoid the pitfalls. I take the pain out of authorship."
Haley suggests fleshing out a solid book outline, by breaking the message into steps:
- State your problem and/or message at the very beginning.
- Offer Readers a clear understanding of what your book is about and how it can help them.
- Provide evidence to support theory by adding statistical facts and expert knowledge. This will provide additional credibility to your objectives.
- Include credentials and personal background information. Always qualify why are the expert. Include educational degrees, certifications, and years of experience.
"I genuinely believe we all have a book in us!" And in some ways, it's selfish not to share what we know with others. Knowledge is a gift. Knowledge is power."
