GO-PHOR is a lifeline to small businesses struggling to keep up with Amazon

The GO-PHOR app offers delivery services, including person-to-person delivery - something that no other app currently offers. "I thought it was really important to offer this, especially for emerging businesses who want to offer delivery, but they just can't afford it."
GO-PHOR does not add markup to orders and allows users to view the entire menu or store product offerings, unlike its competitors. Most importantly, GO-PHOR makes delivery affordable for small businesses.
As Amazon continues to dominate, GO-PHOR's goal is to make sure delivery services are accessible and affordable so that even small businesses can keep up with the king of retail and delivery.
"So many small businesses just can't compete because they can't afford the high costs associated with hiring a fleet," said Thompson. "We realize that some small businesses have trouble with the expenses of adding logistics to their already fully loaded plate. Even the smallest businesses, like mom and pop shops, still have to consider the cost to purchase a vehicle fleet, insurance, maintenance, and scheduling before they can even worry about having a person on staff to make the delivery. With GO-PHOR, you don't need to worry about any of that. Small businesses can use GO-PHOR to offer full-time delivery without the full-time cost."
GO-PHOR also pays its drivers more than the competitors. GO-PHOR's Ship Direct deliveries pay $2/mile and .50/minute. Ship Flex allows drivers to pick up multiple packages at $1/mile, .25/minute, with a two-hour delivery window.
"Drivers can pick up multiple packages on their way to deliver other packages," explained Thompson. "The dollar per mile increases to $3-4/mile and up to a dollar per minute. The competitors just don't offer that kind of pay."
GO-PHOR also lets drivers keep more of what they earn.
"With GO-PHOR, drivers will make more money. You can make more per mile because you can have multiple packages at once. We have less overhead, so we take less from our drivers. We take 15% where Uber and Lyft take about 30%," Thompson said.
GO-PHOR is already seeing success with costume designers, small hardware stores, parts delivery, mortgage brokers, and dry cleaners.
"If you only have a few delivery requests, a full-time fleet and staff doesn't make sense. Instead, use GO-PHOR. You don't have to worry about overhead expenses when you don't need them. When there's a down period and you have little to no orders, there are no unnecessary expenses to worry about."
The company plans to launch nationwide, beginning in the Los Angeles area in August.
