Integrating with polygon and licensing some of the biggest names in cricket has enabled Colexion to offer exclusive collections of commemorative NFTs

This comes just in time for Colexion's commemoration of the recent win by Australia of the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Colexion are celebrating the win by offering their users access to 30 exclusive NFTs, licensed with some of the top Cricket players from Australia and around the world. The collection, penned for release on December 12, will enable Cricket fans worldwide to own a one-of-a-kind NFT collectable of their favorite players, and subsequently use those NFTs in Colexion's upcoming Virtual Cricket League.

Colexion chose this event as the basis for their exclusive line of NFTs to commemorate the win.
The exclusive release includes Marcus Stoinis, an All-Rounder and the hero of Australia's T20 World Cup triumph; Glenn Maxwell, T20 star and one of the fastest scorers in world cricket; and Adam Zampa, a Bowler for the Australian team who played an integral role in the T20 win.
Together, these professionals exclusively licensed their likeness to be the basis for Colexion's first NFT collection, with more in the pipeline.
Collectors will earn tokens and all the standard benefits of NFT art in a growing marketplace. However, these collectibles are about more than just owning a piece of sports history - it's about adding a new layer of fan-athlete engagement.
A recent study suggested that in 2022 sports media will generate more than $2 billion in transactions, about double the figure for this year, and approximately five million fans will either purchase or be gifted some form of NFT.
They will also serve as playable cards, used for building out a fantasy team in an upcoming Virtual Cricket League, a fantasy sports platform hosted by Colexion. Once launched, these commemorative NFTs, as well as many other licensed player collectibles, will be able to be used as assets inside of the game. This brings additional utility to them and stands to add value over time.
