On the first Thursday of every month, Grand Café hosts ‘Line Dance Kickback,' a program based around the popular pastime of line dancing. Set against a backdrop of country and western music, ‘Line Dance Kickback' is a great way for seniors to experience some much-needed socialization, all the while reaping the health benefits of dancing in formation.
‘Steppers'
On the third Thursday of every month, Grand Café holds ‘Steppers,' a step-and-repeat-style class centered around a stationary piece of exercise equipment known as the step aerobic platform. Although slightly more intense than ‘Line Dance Kickback,' ‘Steppers' is still a program meant to appeal to active seniors, and features what is best characterized as light exercise.

They deserve some extra attention and care. At Grand Café, we know how important it is for seniors to keep fit, get out of their homes, and connect with people in their neighborhood. That's why we implemented our ‘Line Dance Kickback' and ‘Steppers' programs-to make sure that the senior citizens in our area know that, at least twice a month, they have a welcoming place to meet up with their friends and contemporaries and get some physical and mental stimulation. So far, these programs have been an unmitigated success-especially among residents of Century Village, a local independent living condominium complex popular with retirees."
