LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESSWIRE / February 8, 2022 / Board-certified divorce attorney, Jennifer Abrams, was recently featured in an exclusive one-on-one interview where she discusses her role in the legal landscape. With over twenty years of professional experience, Abrams serves the Nevada community and has been recognized countless times for her outstanding contributions to her field. As the co-owner of The Abrams & Mayo Law Firm, she works alongside clients to deliver optimal results.
When asked: What should litigants look for when choosing a family law lawyer? She states:
"I would suggest starting with credentials. Look for a lawyer who is a Certified Family Law Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. These are two of the hardest credentials for a family lawyer to obtain. Unlike Bar Association memberships (which only require a short application and a fee), a significant amount of experience and Continuing Legal Education is required to become a Certified Family Law Specialist followed by a rigorous examination. Once an attorney obtains specialization, he or she can apply for Fellowship in the Academy which has an even more stringent application process as well as an examination."
She also claims that it is important that the client play an active role in their case, which means providing information when requested and participating in the legal process. As someone who takes her role seriously, Abrams is selective of her clients and works diligently to ensure a positive outcome on behalf of her clients.
