DERBY, UK / ACCESSWIRE / March 3, 2022 / Repton International, a renowned global family of British schools for children aged three to 18, today announced a newly appointed senior leadership team at Repton Al Barsha and Repton Abu Dhabi. The changes reflect the Schools' continuing dedication to providing stalwart leadership for every location with an emphasis on educational excellence.
Repton Al Barsha indicated that current Headmistress Zoe Woolley will be leaving to pursue a new opportunity as the first female Headmistress of Jeddah Prep and Grammar school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Woolley commented on her departure, "It has been an honour leading Repton Al Barsha, working with an expert group of teachers and staff, and delivering academic excellence over the past six years."
In her stead, Gillian Hammond has been called upon to act as Interim Principal of Repton Al Barsha, transitioning from her current post at Repton Abu Dhabi. "I am humbled by the Board of Governors' decision on my appointment as Interim Principal of Repton Al Barsha," said Hammond. "I would like to thank the Repton Family of Schools for granting me with this opportunity." The School appointed Chandini Misra as Head of Senior School in September 2021. Hammond is expected to provide additional guidance as Interim Principal during the 2022-2023 academic year.
Also making changes to its leadership team is Repton Abu Dhabi, which named Vice Principal Steven Lupton as Interim Principal for the School. Repton Abu Dhabi has undergone several changes in recent years in its effort to expand its academic offerings to encompass a Senior School. During Hammond's time with the School, Repton Abu Dhabi achieved exceptional GCSE results with higher-than-average scores across all age groups. She also oversaw the establishment and successful launch of a proactive parents' committee designed to empower and engage Repton School guardians in programs and outcomes.
