The Joseph Fund of Camden has been awarded the Non-Profit Organization of the Year by the Non-Profit Development Center of Southern New Jersey.
CAMDEN, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / May 25, 2022 / The Joseph Fund of Camden has been awarded Non-Profit of the Year by the Nonprofit Development Center of Southern New Jersey, an organization providing essential support and networking opportunities to the region's non-profits to help them succeed.
The award comes after The Joseph Fund, celebrating its ten-year anniversary, recently revised their mission to focus exclusively on providing access to quality education. Following the belief of their founder, Father Bob - that education and homeownership were the best ways to break the poverty cycle, and with the other ministries becoming self-sustaining - The Joseph Fund will bridge the education gap in Camden.
Since the refocus, the organization has formed an official partnership with the St. Joseph Child Development Center and the Catholic Partnership Schools to bring students summer programs that aim to combat summer learning loss and bridge the education gap - all to break the poverty cycle.
"We are humbled to receive such a prestigious award. The entire team, including our dedicated volunteers, is thrilled that the organization's efforts are being recognized," Executive Director Brian Riggs stated, "Camden's communities, especially the kids, are often forgotten about and the education gap continues to grow - further perpetuating the poverty cycle. We are proud of the work we're doing and the lives we're transforming and look forward to empowering as many families as possible."
