NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 2, 2022 / On September 1, the industry-leading professional development platform Range changed its name to OneRange. The new name reflects the company's ongoing commitment to being the central hub for professional development among organizations. This is the first product designed to help any person find and get a resource approved by their company.
As OneRange CEO Steve Gilman explains, switching to OneRange was a natural progression as the platform continues to grow and serve individuals and companies with personalized, inspiring learning resources.
"It is a variation we have loved for a while now," Gilman says. "We are your one-stop shop while also providing a range of different resources and pathways for professional development."
Their name change coincides with several exciting product launches as well. In addition to their current enterprise subscription model, they are launching OneRange for teams - a program that allows any manager or division leader to buy the platform for their specific team members.
Also, the OneRange professional development and learning marketplace will be available as a limited access beta for individuals to explore independently via self sign up - the first ever product of its kind. While OneRange remains an enterprise solution adopted by executives and people leaders at organizations headquartered in the USA, the team has always been driven by a mission to empower and inspire individuals, helping align company strategy. With their new marketplace, they have taken another critical step to achieving that goal.
"We usually work with the heads of companies, the COOs and department heads, and they allocate a budget to each individual - but we realized that the leader who invests in our product to retain and grow other people is not a heavy user of the platform," Gilman says. "We want the marketplace to reach employees who already have access to an individual learning stipend (or budget) provided by their company. The true users have the pain point of discovering, requesting, and accessing a resource. Learning stipend policies are difficult to utilize, we're here to help the individual and their company make the deployment of these funds effective and efficient."
For example, data shows that a junior engineer will make several resources throughout a variety of resources (courses, books, subscriptions, etc.) - a combination of all these tools is needed to meet the goals of this person to truly upskill, and it's a benefit to the company that they sponsor it.
The marketplace is a free tool that anyone can access to find different online learning providers (including Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, and Coursera), books, podcasts, conferences, and in-person courses and coaching services. When they find resources that they want to use, they can send a request to their manager. There is no signup requirement to search the marketplace and creating an account once they request learning resources is a simple process.
Once the manager receives the request, they can deny or approve the learning opportunity, entering reimbursement/payment instructions for an efficient and streamlined procedure. Managers can find resources to share with their teams, including a new pricing model whereby you can upgrade to a team or enterprise account to unlock premium features.
"We make it as easy as possible for employees to explore the platform and find the resources that work for them, so you don't need an account or even an email address," Gilman says. "You can instantly search our marketplace, and only when you make a request do we need information to build an account."
OneRange continues to deliver a world-class professional development platform for both company leaders and employees looking to grow and make important contributions to the organization. By opening the door for individuals to explore opportunities in a safe and secure marketplace, they are making it easier than ever for employees and businesses to thrive.
