Managers Who Are Mission-Driven and Lead with Integrity Cultivate the Happiest Workplaces and Retain the Most Productive Employees

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / September 20, 2022 / Since 2020, workplaces have experienced a new trend: "quiet quitting." This is a term recently coined to identify employees who do the bare minimum amount of work to keep their jobs. While some businesses see these employees as lazy or unmotivated, a recent study conducted by Harvard Business Review argues that these "quiet quitters" are a product of the values and culture of their work environment.

Based on data gathered from more than 2,000 managers and their direct reports, researchers found that "quiet quitting" is usually less about an employee's willingness to work harder and more about a manager's ability to build a quality relationship with their employees. Managers who do not cultivate a workplace that is welcoming, inclusive, and safe have three to four times as many people who fall in the "quiet quitter" category in comparison to more effective leaders.

As a result, many business leaders have turned their attention to new management practices emphasizing integrity, meaning, and balance. According to psychologists, the way to cultivate a happy and productive workplace is to lead with integrity and to understand that each employee has their own unique purpose of contributing to the overall goal.

Emphasizing integrity, higher purpose, and well-being are what integrative business coaches and consultants like Brooke Sprowl, the founder ofMy LA Therapy, are working to instill in business leaders and organizations so each person can live out their highest potential to create, innovate, and produce.

This is what Sprowl is hoping to cultivate with her new venture, My Truest North. My Truest North is a personal and professional peak performance and flow coaching, therapy, and consulting company specializing in mission-driven entrepreneurs and leaders in search of higher purpose, deeper integrity, and spiritual awakening. In addition to their suite of services, they curate luxury, transformational retreat experiences in exotic destinations around the world. My Truest North's integrative methodology synthesizes a range of disciplines that span the gamut of everything from flow neuroscience techniques to empirically-proven spiritual modalities to best practices for regenerative business systems. And of course, integrates a range of evidence-based practices garnered from 15 years of study and practice in clinical psychotherapy.

"Integrity is fractal," Sprowl says. "By bringing our businesses into integrity with our deeper values, higher purpose, and individual gifts, we have the uncommon opportunity to live out our unique destinies while serving social, cultural, and systemic change. In that sense, a business can be deeply spiritual."

After many years working as a therapist with high-achieving entrepreneurs, leaders, and celebrities, Sprowl began to notice a pattern: so many people who had achieved every worldly goal imaginable were feeling unfulfilled and hungry for something more. She noticed a growing trend in which people sought ways to cultivate spirituality, impact, and meaning in their personal and professional lives. This sparked the idea for My Truest North and her pioneering model of psychospiritual development.

According to Sprowl, optimal psychology research consistently demonstrates that higher purpose is integral to peak performance, motivation, and self-actualization. "Paradoxically, to achieve full self-realization and personal fulfillment, we must place ourselves in service of something beyond the self. Our individual and collective needs are intertwined."

For the highest success among clients, Sprowl uses her unique model of human psychological and spiritual development called, Emergence Theory, which outlines the principles for bringing each domain of life into integrity, balance, and wholeness. Emergence theory demonstrates how integrity in each domain--self, relational, missional, behavioral--stacks, creating compounding gains that accelerate personal and collective transformation.

The theory posits that as we bring every area of our lives into deep integrity, our latent creative, spiritual, and transformative energy naturally awakens, influencing each domain of our lives. These emergent states, such as flow states, mystical experiences, and non-dual awareness, organically arise as our daily lives increasingly reflect our deeper values and higher purpose. Following the principles outlined in Emergence Theory instills in leaders the foundation for a meaningful, purpose-driven, and empathetic work environment, which inevitably leads to inspired, committed, and productive employees.

A deep devotion to helping mission-driven leaders and entrepreneurs actualize their higher purpose and embody their deeper values through this integrative framework is what allows My Truest North to provide leaders with an unparalleled experience. The result: a naturally transformative state that serves both individual and organizational transformation.

"Achieving flow states, creative innovation, and sustained motivation comes down to aligning your goals, passions, and purpose with your daily habits and attention," says Sprowl. "The goal isn't to have a mountaintop experience. The goal is to learn to bring the mountaintop into your everyday life. That is awakening."
