About Find The Good Day:

Find The Good Day is an initiative created by The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) to inspire people to recognize and celebrate the good in their lives and communities. The day encourages gratitude, kindness, and supporting one another in the pursuit of a better world.

$40,000 in Community Grants:

To mark Find The Good Day, JLM will distribute $40,000 in grants to local nonprofits focused on education, health, and social services. These funds will empower these organizations to continue their vital work, helping families and children in the Miami community. This initiative reflects JLM's long-standing commitment to driving meaningful, measurable change where it's needed most.

The Junior League of Miami: A Legacy of Impact

Founded in 1925, the Junior League of Miami has been dedicated to improving the Miami community through volunteerism and service. JLM is a volunteer-led organization comprising over 600 women from diverse backgrounds, including full-time working mothers, business owners, corporate leaders, homemakers, retirees, and students. All members share a commitment to making Miami a better place.

As JLM approaches its centennial next year, it remains focused on its mission to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Throughout its nearly 100-year history, JLM has addressed critical issues in Miami, particularly focusing on children and families at risk.

JLM has played a pivotal role in the founding and support of several major nonprofits, including Children's Home Society, CHARLEE House, the Guardian Ad Litem program, and the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science.

Looking Toward the Future:

In 2023, JLM revived its grantmaking program, with plans to award $216,000 in community grants and projects for the 2023-2024 year. By 2025, JLM will have invested $500,000 back into the Miami community, amplifying the impact of local nonprofits as it celebrates its centennial.
