UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 23, 2024 / Faye Hunter has been honored by Marquis Who's Who for her expertise in accounting and her dedication to her community. Ms. Hunter is a decorated Gulf War veteran who received the Navy Achievement Medal for her service on the home front, a retired federal employee of the Department of the Treasury, and an author.

Faye Hunter

Drawing on over two decades of expertise, Ms. Hunter specialized in accounting. Before her retirement in 2006, she built a prolific career as an account analyst at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). She initially began her vocation serving as a hospital corpsman for the United States Navy-Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in California. Outside of her main profession, Ms. Hunter authored the book, "Christopher Omega: A Brave Soldier for God" in 2022.

"A Brave Soldier for God" is the story of a 10-year-old boy who was faced with devastating family news; he wondered if he may need a wizard or sorcerer to help with his battle. However, he learned that he just needed to do as his Bible, in Philippians 4:6, tells him to do: "Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."

Before embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Hunter completed coursework at Morris Brown College. She continued her academic efforts while attending night school during her military service, earning a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1989. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Hunter contributes to the local Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the homeless shelters in her community.

Well-regarded for her military service in the Gulf War, Ms. Hunter has received the Navy Achievement Medal. Among her professional accomplishments, she is most proud to have provided tax lien and wage garnishment relief to numerous individuals during her tenure with the IRS. Reflecting on a long career, she attributes much of her success to her mother, who raised her and her seven siblings as a single parent, and to her Christian faith, which has guided her throughout her traumatic childhood experiences and various challenges in life.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Hunter aspires to purchase a 10-acre property from the proceeds of "Christopher Omega: A Brave Soldier for God," to establish a home for abused children, called The Olive Branch Home for Neglected, Abused, and Abandoned Children.

Ms. Hunter is the proud mother of her only son, Christopher Hunter. He is a successful businessman with a degree in mechanical engineering from Morehouse College and the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is happily married and has given Ms. Hunter two beautiful grand babies.
