NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / October 16, 2024 / Omni Family Health ("OFH")recently disclosed a data breach that may have compromised the sensitive personal data of thousands of patients and employees. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal information entrusted to OFH.

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?

On August 7, 2024, OFH became aware of a security incident on its IT Network. OFH took immediate steps and launched an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the data breach. OFH's investigation confirmed that the cyberattack impacted the sensitive information of its patients and employees. As a result of the investigation, OFH discovered that the data breach was linked to a February 2024 cyberattack which caused an outage of its It Network for almost five days. Upon a thorough review of the data security incident, it was discovered that sensitive personal information of OFH's patients and employees may have been compromised.

OFH's investigation determined that the cybercriminal was able to gain access to the sensitive personal information of thousands of individuals. OFH discovered that the following types of sensitive personal information may have been exposed in the data breach included: Full Name, Address, Social Security number, Date of birth, Health insurance plan information, Medical information, and Financial account information. On October 10, 2024, OFH made a public disclosure of the data breach and started sending notice letters to impacted individuals.Compensation may be available for those individuals who received notice that their personal information was compromised.
