The REPULS® spray has been created so that it can be used anywhere at anytime. The water-based chemical deterrent spray is easily and quickly mitigated with water being applied to the receiver's eyes. In addition, there is little or no need to mitigate a vehicle, cell, or an officer's clothing other than to remove the odour.

I cannot see any downside to switching to REPULS®, which has the added benefit of having a shelf-life of five years verses two-three years with the current option".
