In his current role as a senior product engineer with adhesive, sealing, and coating manufacturer Master Bond, Mr. Ramnath is responsible for leading new product development activities from concept development to product launch.
In addition, Mr. Ramnath oversees a team of technical support specialists, presents cost-benefit and depreciation analyses to senior management, leads pricing and investment strategies for new products, and collaborates efforts with the marketing team. Thanks to his accomplishments, Mr. Ramnath was among the esteemed group of 40 under 40 winners in the Surface Mount Technology Association program. Mr. Ramnath started his career with Master Bond in 2012.
Mr. Ramnath is most proud of his accomplishments during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he continuously provided product solutions to customers manufacturing critical medical devices and the military. Despite the difficulties the pandemic presented, Mr. Ramnath demonstrated resilience and adaptability, allowing him to overcome the obstacles and gain valuable insights. Since the pandemic, it has been a consistent uphill battle balancing out supply chains, but Mr. Ramnath is particularly adept at it.
During this time, Mr. Ramnath also co-authored a paper in the journal Review of Scientific Instruments titled "Breakthrough instruments and products: Biocompatible epoxies for medical device manufacturing."
Mr. Ramnath earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical technology in Mumbai, India, in 2010 and a Master of Science in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in 2011.
In addition to his engineering work, Mr. Ramnath has also made forays into the business world. He earned certification from the CFA Institute as a Chartered Financial Analyst in 2021 and a certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute in 2022. He is currently a member of the CFA Society in New York.
Mr. Ramnath attributes his success to staying humble. He credits his grandparents with playing a pivotal role in his upbringing. His paternal grandparents cared for him throughout his early years, even until middle school.
Outside of work, Mr. Ramnath enjoys making his own coffee and playing squash at the intermediate level. Looking toward the future, he aspires to continue cultivating his professional growth, remain abreast of the new advances in technology, and nurture his innate sense of curiosity.
