Hospice of Westchester Announces New Members of the Board of Directors

WHITE PLAINS, NY / ACCESSWIRE / November 12, 2020 / Hospice of Westchester (HOW) has voted in three new members for its board of directors.

Matthew Fiorillo, CFSP, is the owner of Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services and a licensed funeral director in New York State and Connecticut. He earned the Certified Funeral Service Practitioner title from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, Inc. and has committed to a program of lifelong learning to serve individuals and their families. He is a lifetime member of the White Plains Historical Society, a member of the Knollwood Country Club, and participates with the Westchester Amateur Astronomers in his spare time. He is a long-time resident of Westchester County.

Catherine McGovern, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and has been practicing at White Plains Hospital since 1989. She graduated from Fordham University with a bachelor of science degree in biology and earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College. She joined Westmed Medical Group in February 2010. Dr. McGovern was named a "Healthcare Hero" by Westchester Magazine in 2019, serves on the executive board of the Heavenly Productions Foundation, and is a frequent volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley and Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. She lives in the White Plains area with her husband and children.

Marc Wegener currently serves as Administrative Vice President and Group Manager for M&T Bank, Commercial Banking - Healthcare in Tarrytown. In this role, he is responsible for the management, oversite, and delivery of credit and non-credit banking services to healthcare providers located throughout the lower Hudson Valley Region of NY and the state of Connecticut. Wegener's team includes five commercial bankers located in Tarrytown, NY and Norwalk, CT. With nearly 30 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Wegener previously held positions with First Niagara Bank, Key Bank, and Fleet Bank.
