Our legitimate business interests may include customizing the services we provide to you and to ensure compliance with Issuer Direct policies and applicable laws, ensuring you are satisfied with Issuer Direct's support and services, authentication confirmation for secure handling of Issuer Direct's clients' accounts, etc. We will retain such information even if you elect to delete your account with us but will only use it as described above.
We may share your personal information with our partners. For example, if you use our Investor Network website to research various companies, whether it be by downloading reports, streaming information, or participating in a blog, we may share the information we collect with the companies you are researching and those companies may have the right to use such information for their own purposes. Prior to using Investor Network, you will be required to complete a submission form that will allow you to specify how your information will be used and who will have rights to it.
We also collect potentially personally identifying information like “IP addresses” (as discussed in more detail below) for logged in users and for users leaving comments on WordPress.com blogs. Issuer Direct only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below so long as the user in not logged in, except that blog commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

B. Aggregate Information and Passive Information Collection:
From time to time, we may collect general, non-personal, statistical information about the use of the Sites, such as how many visitors visit a specific page on the Sites, how long they stay on that page, and which hyperlinks, if any, they “click” on.

C. IP Addresses:
An IP address is a number that's automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're surfing the web. Issuer Direct collects IP addresses for purposes of system administration, to report aggregate information to third parties and to track the use of the Sites. When visitors request pages from the Sites, our servers log the visitors' IP addresses. It is not our practice to link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that a visitor's session will be logged, but the visitor remains anonymous to us. However, we reserve the right to use IP addresses to identify a visitor when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with the Site's policies or to protect Issuer Direct, the Sites, its visitors, or others.
D. Cookies, Beacons and Successor Technologies:
We partner with a third party to display advertising on our website or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partner may use cookies or similar technologies in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to opt out of interest-based advertising, you may elect to do so on your account page. Please note you will continue to receive generic ads.
In addition, Issuer Direct and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 on the Sites. If you are under the age of 13, please do not provide any personal information to us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information from our database.

In any case, the information access and data corrections are performed free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort. Due to the methods that we maintain certain services, once your information is corrected or deleted; residual copies may take a period of time before they are deleted from our active systems and may remain in our backup systems.

A. EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Principles for EU & Swiss Data Transferred to the United States:
Issuer Direct complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States. Issuer Direct has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. Issuer Direct is responsible for the processing of personal data it receives, under each Privacy Shield Framework, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Issuer Direct remains liable for all data transferred under the Privacy Shield Framework(s) unless we can prove we were not a party giving rise to the damages.
Pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, we acknowledge the right of EU and Swiss individuals to access their data. Such individuals may also correct, amend, or delete the personal information we hold about you if it is inaccurate or has been processed in violation of the Privacy Shield Principles. Individuals wishing to exercise this right should refer to Section VII. Access and Review of Your Personal Information for more details regarding how they can gain such access.
We will provide an individual opt-out choice, or opt-in for sensitive data, before we share your data with third parties other than our agents, or before we use it for a purpose other than which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized. Issuer Direct has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the Privacy Shield Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, the BBB EU PRIVACY SHIELD, operated by BBB National Programs. If your Privacy Shield complaint cannot be resolved through the above channels, under certain conditions, you may invoke binding arbitration for some residual claims not resolved by other redress mechanisms. B. GDPR for EU Individuals
As of May 25th, 2018, Issuer Direct has been in compliance with Regulations (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of on the free movement of such data, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and Issuer Direct’s processing and control of personal information if you are located within the European Union will be in accordance with the standard set forth in the GDPR.
